Sergio Lucero
Managing Director, Amarin Technologies S.A.

Mr. Sergio Lucero joined the Company in July 1996 as Managing Director. Apart from his local duties in Buenos Aires, he also participated and lead the Business Development Team of the mother company Amarin Corporation plc located in London (UK). By the end of 2001, Mr Lucero had conducted a Management Buy Out and become the major shareholder of Amarin Technologies S.A. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lucero served as Director, International Operations of Laboratorios Beta S.A. (Argentina) in the period 1991-1996. At that position, Mr. Lucero carried out several international licensing in/out agreements with multinational pharmaceutical companies thus increasing Beta's product portfolio. From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Sergio Lucero was Operations Manager of Farmacéutica Uruguaya S.A (located in Montevideo, Uruguay). Prior thereto, Mr. Lucero was Head of the Import-Export Department at Laboratorios Beta S.A. Mr. Lucero is qualified as a Chartered Public Accountant and received his degree in Accountancy from the Buenos Aires University.

Francisco J. E. Stefano MD
Director, Scientific Affairs, Amarin Technologies S.A.

Dr. Stefano joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1986 as Director of the Research and Development Department of Laboratorios Beta S.A. He was formerly engaged in basic research at the Buenos Aires University and the National Council for Science and Technology. After graduating with an MD degree at Buenos Aires University he had postdoctoral training at the National Heart Institute, NIH, Bethesda, MD and returned to Argentina to lead the Institute of Pharmacological Research. He has also been Visiting Professor at the School of Pharmacy in Caracas, Venezuela and the Institüt für Pharmacologie und Toxicologie in Würzburg, Germany. He is an emeritus professor in the department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine, Buenos Aires University and is also currently a professor in different private universities. During his career he has published more than 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and holds several patents in the transdermal field.

Miguel Fortuny, B.S. Statistics, Tres de Febrero University, Buenos Aires.
Head of Clinical Research & Information.
Mr. Fortuny has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 1985 in manufacturing, quality control and development areas. He joined Amarin in 1996. He co-developed the Clinical Area in the Company, coordinated and monitored more than 50 bioavailability, bioequivalence and Phase II studies. Mr. Fortuny completed a post graduate course in clinical study monitoring and protocol preparation in Bar Ilan University in 1996 and has engaged in numerous GxP courses and actively participates in Pharmaceutical Chambers in Buenos Aires.

Julio Salvadori, Pharmacist, Buenos Aires University.
Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Mr. Salvadori has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 1997, in the production of different dosage forms. He joined Amarin Technologies S.A. in 1999. Initially, he worked in the Pharmaceutical Development Team and then, was promoted to the position of Qualified Person in charge of the Quality Department. He co-lead the team that organized the Quality System and obtained the European GMP Certificate for a third manufacturing company. He received post graduate training in Pharmaceutical Production and Development and Quality Assurance at the Buenos Aires University. He is currently a Guest Pharmaceutical Technology Professor at the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Buenos Aires University.

Alejandro Scasso, Pharmacist, Buenos Aires University.
Head of Pharmaceutical Development.
Mr. Scasso occupied a scholar position in the National Institute of Medicaments until 1990. During the period 1990-1996 he was part of the Pharmaceutical Development Team of Laboratorios Beta S. A. Buenos Aires, Argentina. During this period, he was trained in the development of different pharmaceutical forms, including transdermal delivery systems. Mr. Scasso joined the Company in 1996 and presently leads the development of the Company products. He has published papers related to basic and applied work in the transdermal field and holds several patents related to this field. He has participated in and conducted technology transfer in India and scale up processes of transdermal products in USA and Europe.
